New Research Publication: Real-Time Climate Controversy Detection
We’re proud to share a new research paper co-authored by Nicolas Jamet, CFA, Senior Portfolio Manager at RAM AI, alongside David Jaggi from ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Markus Leippold and Tingyu Yu from University of Zurich.
This paper marks the culmination of the Innosuisse-funded project Tracking Companies’ Climate Commitments, Greenwashing, and ESG Trends. It introduces ClimateControversyBERT, a novel open-source language model designed for real-time detection and classification of corporate climate controversies — including brown projects, misinformation, and ambiguous climate-related actions — using financial news.
